Angela Doherty: funeral and fundraiser

We were devastated recently at the passing of Angela Doherty, who was much loved by many people at St Paul’s. She was well known to people in the congregation and in the Rise youth club, where she was a volunteer.

Angela’s funeral will be held at 1pm on 1 March at St Paul’s.

One way that you can support Angela’s family at this difficult time is donating to help them with living costs and funeral costs. Since Angela became ill last year, her husband Allan had to take time off work to support her. So the family had already started raising funds for living costs. But since Angela died, they need to raise even more money for funeral costs.

There are various ways that you can contribute to the family’s fundraiser.

You can donate via the GoFundMe page set up by Jack, who is Angela’s daughter Paige’s fiancé. He’s running 150km in February to raise money.

You can attend the fundraising event at the Brownfield Social Club in Poplar on 2 March. See poster below for more information.

And we are also accepting cash donations in church. Please contact Rev Darius or Rev April about this.

And of course, please keep the whole family in your prayers.
