February 2024 update from the Quails

The Quails’ February news is out!

A lot has been going on for our mission partners since their pre-Christmas update.

They’re giving thanks for the incredible generosity shown by so many people in response to their medical costs appeal in December. As a result of raising the funds so quickly, Helen was able to have her stoma reversal surgery on 9 Jan while Rob’s parents were visiting and could look after the children.

Rob had a busy end to 2023, leading the EMI team while other members of the leadership team were away in the US. It was a busy month, with many project deliverables handed over to partner ministries.

One of the things that Rob has been working on is ‘Creation Care’, which is exploring how the designs that EMI produces consider environmental, social and economic sustainability issues.

You can read more in their their February newsletter. But here’s a quick summary of things that we can give thanks for and pray for.

Give thanks for:

  • funding to cover Helen’s medical costs
  • time spent with family over Christmas and new year
  • a good start to the kids’ school year

Please pray for:

  • ongoing tests and checks on Helen’s health
  • a good outcome from their medical insurance appeal
  • Rob’s work on ‘Creation Care’
  • their UK visit in summer 2024

Keep praying!
