The Old Ford Royal Community Fun Day: 7 May

This weekend is coronation weekend, when King Charles is crowned at Westminster Abbey.

We’re continuing our recent tradition of royal-themed bank holiday weekend community celebrations this Sunday, with our Old Ford Royal Community Fun Day this coming Sunday, 7 May!

Our jubilee party last year for the late Queen was a big success, and we’re hoping this weekend’s party will be as much fun.

We’ve got a lot of things planned for the afternoon. It kicks off at 2pm and runs until about 5pm. We’ll be taking over Wright’s Road at the side of the church again, so we’ll have things to do outside and inside.

These things include:

  • a bouncy castle
  • a cake sale
  • a youth zone
  • bingo
  • fete games
  • crafts for the whole family, including crown making
  • a barbecue and lots of other food
  • a DJ spinning some tunes

So whether you’re celebrating the coronation this weekend or not, come down and have fun on Sunday afternoon. There will be something for you to enjoy! Everyone is welcome!
