The Quails in central America: June update
We’re sharing a couple of videos which give an update on our mission partners the Quails, who are based in Nicaragua and working with the Christian charity Engineering Ministries International (EMI).
The first video is a short one from Rob, especially for us at St Paul’s. It’s filmed in Bolivia, where Rob has been on a trip with EMI to do some preparation for building a children’s home. EMI is working with another charity to build this home for children whose mothers are in prison.
In the second video, the Quail family give their June update about what’s been going on, including work, home and church.
We also recently had a visit from Jaz Lambert from EMI, who spoke in our service about her trip to visit the Quails. Her prayer points for us at the time were:
- pray for Rob that he doesn’t overwork
- pray for Helen that she can find her role out there (she’s currently helping in the office and training), particularly a permanent long term role
- pray for the children that they will settle in, and get more used to having conversations in Spanish
There are more updates about Rob, Helen and the kids, and are a few more prayer points in the Quails’ June newsletter. Check it out and carry on praying for them.
If you want to meet with other people from St Paul’s to pray for the Quails, there is a group that does that regularly, as well as arranging Zoom calls with them. Contact Andrew Walters or Rev April for more information.
Here are some pictures of Rob’s trip to Bolivia.
